Openlands TreeKeepers Stewardship Workday

Openlands' TreeKeepers program trains certified volunteers to plant and care for trees on public land across Chicago's low-canopy neighborhoods. Stewardship workdays involve watering newly planted trees, pruning young street trees, mulching root zones, and monitoring tree health. A three-hour morning session that builds real urban forestry skills while physically improving Chicago's green infrastructure.
